Architectural Control
Guidelines and approval process for home improvements and exterior changes.
About the ACC
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) reviews proposed changes to the exterior of homes and lots in Piedmont Hills. Its purpose is to maintain the visual harmony and property values of our neighborhood. All exterior improvements — no matter how minor they may seem — require written approval from the ACC before work begins.
The ACC has broad discretion to approve or deny requests based on aesthetics, harmony with surrounding properties, and conformity with the Declaration of Covenants. Starting work without approval may result in fines and a requirement to restore the property to its original condition at the homeowner's expense.

DownloadReview Timeline
The ACC has up to 45 days to approve or disapprove a submitted request. If no decision is communicated within 45 days, the request is considered approved — but this does not waive the ACC's right to enforce other community standards. Plan your project timeline accordingly and submit requests well in advance of your intended start date.
⚠️ Work Without Approval
Completing exterior changes without prior ACC approval is a violation of the Declaration of Covenants. Violations may result in a written notice or a monetary penalty up to $50 per violation, with continuing violations assessed at up to $10 per day for up to 90 days. The homeowner may also be required to restore the property at their own expense.
